Friday was stinking hot!
And then we went to a friend's house for a really good farewell dinner for another friend who is moving overseas. Sadly, it was still in the 40's when we had to go out, so the planned outdoor dinner became an indoor dinner with every fan they owned going, so that everyone was comfortable. But it was a really good evening anyway, with lots of good interaction and conversation.
So Saturday was partly recovery from the heat and late night (no point in trying to go to bed before about 1.30am - then the 'change' came through - about a dozen spots of rain, but the air did get cooler!). Also, collecting the potential replacement washing machine.... Replacement onto trailer - OK. Replacement part way out of trailer for investigation - sort of OK. Original out of laundry - REALLY difficult. Replacement out of trailer and into laundry - difficult. Unable to get replacement to actually start - the fact that the only manuals I could find were in Czech and Russian NOT helping...! Then another friend came over - issues were identified - investigation of original washing machine led to it working again - they removed replacement one without much issue - returned original one to laundry with less effort than it took getting it out! WIN - original washing machine working like a dream!
