And we had an absolutely marvellous time at the Australian Synchrotron Open Day - doing (most of) the self guided tour, talking to the guy at the station showing the controllers, then we did the specialised Computing tour, then ran out of time to go back and see the parts we missed from the standard tour. A brilliant way to spend an afternoon! :-)
