Today's work on/in the business - Tues 4 Jan

1. Update my record of time worked. (5mins)
2. Review progress made this last couple of weeks and ensure the schedule is right for next week. (30mins)
3. Review the project schedules. Adjusted the current project to reflect actual progress. No changes needed to the software projects. (10mins)
4. Bank reconciliation. (20mins)
5. Accounting. (15mins)
6. Determine whether we met the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for December 2010. Thankfully, we met most of them - the obvious one that failed being my requirement to exercise. (10mins)
7. Networking - follow up on posts and queries - 3 posts today. (40mins)
8. Look at the statistics that Google Analytics gives you. 78 visits - so up a little again, 57 new visits - so a good mix of new and existing visitors, 27% search, 19% direct and 54% referral traffic - keyword/site path information shows that current processes are working to bring people to the site, 2.53 pages per visit, 0:48 average time on site is dropping, but business focus is going to be low over December and early January - these last figures show people actually look at the site once they find it. The holiday doldrums are still here - as expected. (5mins)
9. Working on website revamp for new customer - version one for the client on server, ready to be set up for client to review. Unfortunately, the new version of Plone does not appear to work on the live server, so I have to go back and recreate this work in the version of Plone that is currently working on the live server. This includes time to zip up a number of virtual machines on the backup server to create sufficient room to do this work. (9hrs)
