2. Follow up on existing customers and prospects. (5mins)
3. Networking - follow up on posts and queries - 3 posts today. (50mins)
4. Look at the statistics that Google Analytics gives you. 66 visits which is still lower than I like, 47 new visits which is great, 33% search, 31% direct and 36% referral traffic, 1 visit from Brazil, 1 from Russia and 1 from the Ukraine. (20mins)
5. Website upgrade for new customer. Except that this description is not strictly accurate - what I've been working on for most of this time is software that can be used by many Australian customers, not just this particular one - some time has been spent on changes to this specific customer's website, but all of last week and so far this week has actually been spent on this software that is needed. (9hrs 5mins)

Weekend was mixed... Nice social day on Saturday - breakfast with friends, lunch with friends, had planned to go listen to music in the evening but ended up just having a friend visit and stay overnight. Tooth was a bit sore during the day. Woke up in the early hours on Sunday morning in great pain - tooth had caused swelling - obviously infected... Call to dentist, prescription for antibiotics and heavy duty pain killers - appointment for first thing Monday morning. Appointment result is heavy duty pain killers, which cause fuzzy head - so not much work done.

At least the pain is reducing!

1. My partner has setup a test Plone site for us. Reading through documentation and testing changes - not working quite as I expected... Going to grab a test copy of a real site and look at how that is set up - hopefully it will explain what I am not getting at the moment... (1hr 35mins)
2. Phone support to new/old customer - something has gone wrong with his mail routing. Will be visiting on site on Tuesday (Mon is public holiday). (20mins)

The meeting with the business mentor went about how we expected. Unfortunately, for reasons that are known and pretty much out of our control, our income has been down substantially on the plan, BUT we haven't spent nearly as much as we originally expected to either. So, rather than having an overall profit by now, we have broken even - which is much better than having lost money.

Got a phone call in the morning asking if we do Lotus Notes support, as he was having some trouble. Said yes, organised to go out and look at the issue, only charging him if I fixed it, then found out who... Turns out to be a customer of my old employers... Worked out well - fixed the issue he rang about and started looking at an issue with the software that used to be my work...! (3hrs 50mins)

Today's work on/in the business - Tues 2 Mar

Look at the statistics that Google Analytics gives you. 72 visits which is a bit lower than I like, 56 new visits which is great, 22% search, 30% direct and 48% referral traffic, 1 visit from Italy and 1 from China - so basically still going OK. The website is undergoing a restructure, so hopefully the visits will pick up again. (15mins)
3. Accounting - got everything sorted out so that the bank account and the accounting system agree, which I had been trying to organise for a while - finally worked out how! (45mins)
4. Invoicing - 2 sent out. (40mins)
5. Bank reconciliations - get this up to date, now that the accounting system and bank agree. (40mins)

7. Determine whether we met the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for February 2010. Thankfully, we met most of them - the obvious one that failed being my requirement to exercise (again). Unfortunately, the requirement to rewrite the CRM software has really hit the whole process for 6 - along with needing to write the new 'quick' software solution. (10mins)
8. Follow up on existing customers and prospects. (5mins)
9. Work on our new product - details to come later. (2hrs 55mins)
10. Check log book is up to date and figures add up. (5mins)
